This follows an earlier court order blocking the Trump administration's attempt to shut down VOA newsrooms. Despite a judge's order to maintain operations, the acting CEO, Kari Lake, eliminated 532 positions, significantly impacting the network's ability to broadcast in multiple languages. The judge has since ordered Lake to provide testimony and faces potential contempt charges for defying his ruling.
