Patriots SHOCKER: Peppers Cut Days Before Season? | JQJO

The New England Patriots surprisingly released veteran safety Jabrill Peppers nine days before the season starts. This move is unexpected, given Peppers' recent performance and support for the coach. The team's decision doesn't significantly impact their salary cap, and it follows other roster changes made by the new coaching regime. Peppers' release leaves the Patriots with a less experienced secondary for the upcoming season. The team also made other roster moves, including adding a rookie defensive tackle and signing an offensive tackle to the practice squad.
