The NFL's waiver wire saw significant activity, with teams claiming 29 players. The Tennessee Titans led with four claims. Notable moves included the New England Patriots acquiring quarterback Tommy DeVito, who impressed in the preseason, to bolster their depth behind Drake Maye. Other key acquisitions involved cornerbacks Jaylon Jones (Chicago Bears) and Julius Brents (Miami Dolphins). The Baltimore Ravens added Tyler Huntley to their practice squad, and the San Francisco 49ers strengthened their receiving corps by signing Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Several teams, including the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, lost multiple players.
