California's $15 Billion Rail FAIL? $175 Million More GONE!

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy canceled $175 million more in funding for California's high-speed rail project, following a previous $4 billion cut. He cited the project's cost overruns ($15 billion spent so far) and slow progress as reasons. California's High-Speed Rail Authority countered that the cuts were politically motivated and that the project is progressing. The project, initially aiming to connect San Francisco and Los Angeles, has been scaled back and faces further legal challenges from California.
