Spotify is launching a new in-app messaging feature allowing users to share music, podcasts, and audiobooks directly. Available on mobile for free and premium users (16+), it lets you share content with friends on your plan or those you've previously interacted with via Spotify's social features. Messages are encrypted, and users can control who messages them, block users, and report inappropriate content. Spotify aims to centralize content sharing, complementing, not replacing, external platforms. This feature could significantly enhance user interaction within the app.
