The White House criticized Smithsonian exhibits, citing portrayals of homosexuality, slavery, and migration as objectionable. This follows an earlier review request for eight museums' exhibition plans. The list largely mirrors a Federalist article and a Trump executive order. Specific concerns include a pride flag display, a worksheet on 'whiteness,' and exhibits featuring Dr. Fauci and Ibram X. Kendi. The Smithsonian has already removed some criticized materials.
