A car bomb near a military aviation school in Cali, Colombia, and an attack on a police helicopter in Antioquia killed at least 13 people. President Gustavo Petro blamed FARC dissidents for both attacks. The helicopter, involved in coca leaf eradication efforts, was reportedly attacked by a drone. The car bomb killed five, injuring over 30. Eight police officers died in the helicopter attack. Coca leaf cultivation is rising in Colombia, reaching a record high in 2023.
