NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has discovered a previously unknown moon orbiting Uranus, bringing the total to 29. This small moon, about 6 miles in diameter, was hidden from previous missions like Voyager 2. Its discovery, made using Webb's Near-Infrared Camera, helps scientists understand Uranus' rings and the formation of its moon system. The moon's location and orbit suggest a possible shared origin with the rings. Further observations are planned to uncover more about this new moon and the potential for additional undiscovered moons around Uranus.
