An unidentified flying object crashed and exploded in a cornfield in eastern Poland early Wednesday, causing minor damage but no injuries. Initial reports suggested a possible old engine part, but Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz later indicated it was likely a drone, possibly military or smuggling related. An investigation is underway to determine its origin and purpose. While there have been past airspace violations near Poland since the war in Ukraine, authorities reported no such violations overnight.
