Canadian Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre secured a decisive victory in the Battle River-Crowfoot by-election in Alberta, winning with 80.4% of the vote. This win allows him to reclaim his seat in Parliament after losing his previous constituency in April. The by-election saw a record number of candidates, many linked to an electoral reform protest group. Poilievre's win comes ahead of a mandatory leadership review in January.
