John Bolton, Trump's former National Security Advisor, claims Putin was better prepared than Trump for their 2018 summit and Friday's meeting in Alaska. Bolton recounts Trump's lack of briefing material review and distractions during previous meetings, including watching a World Cup match. He suggests Putin gained an advantage by securing one-on-one time with Trump. Bolton also notes Trump's recent announcement of arranging a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy, with himself as a mediator.
