Kim Vows Nuclear Expansion Amidst Joint Military Drills | JQJO

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, inspecting a new nuclear-capable warship, condemned joint US-South Korean military drills. He vowed a rapid expansion of his nuclear forces in response to what he called the allies' provocative actions, including the Ulchi Freedom Shield exercises. The drills, involving 21,000 troops, are described by the allies as defensive. Kim's visit to the Nampo port coincided with the start of the exercises. Tensions remain high on the Korean Peninsula, which is technically still at war.
