Garrity Challenges Shapiro in Pennsylvania Governor's Race | JQJO

Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced her Republican gubernatorial bid, challenging incumbent Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro in 2026. Garrity, a Trump ally, criticizes Shapiro's economic policies and pledges to create jobs and lower costs. Shapiro, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, counters Garrity's claims and highlights his own accomplishments. The race is expected to be highly competitive, with Garrity facing an uphill battle against the well-funded and nationally recognized Shapiro.
