Video Shows Frail Palestinian Prisoner Barghouti | JQJO

A video released by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir shows prominent Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti, appearing frail after years in prison. Ben-Gvir berates Barghouti in the video, which has sparked outrage. Barghouti, serving multiple life sentences for his involvement in the Second Intifada, remains a significant figure in Palestinian politics and is a key figure in ongoing prisoner exchange discussions between Hamas and Israel. His lawyer expressed concern over Barghouti's well-being and Ben-Gvir's threats. The video's release comes amidst a complex political climate involving increased Palestinian detentions and rising tensions.
