Archaeologists in Gdańsk, Poland unearthed a remarkably preserved 13th-century limestone tomb slab depicting a knight in full armor. The discovery, made under an ice cream shop within the remains of a medieval stronghold, included a male skeleton but lacked grave goods. The carved slab, rare for its depiction of the deceased, is undergoing 3D scanning and analysis to learn more about the knight and his life. This find provides valuable insight into the city's medieval elite.
