Premier League Season Preview: Title Race, Surprises, and Disappointments | JQJO

The Premier League season begins Friday, with Liverpool defending their title against Bournemouth. CBS Sports staff predict a tight race between Liverpool and Manchester City, but Arne Slot's team could be a dark horse. Predictions vary widely on surprise teams (Everton), biggest disappointments (West Ham), top scorer (Erling Haaland), best signing (Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal), and relegated teams. Analysis suggests Liverpool's squad overhaul is a gamble, while Manchester City's Rayan Cherki could be Player of the Season. Everton's improved defense and attack could lead to a strong season, while West Ham's struggles may continue.
