NBC Orders Civilian Version of Hit Show 'The Traitors' | JQJO

NBC is adapting Peacock's reality competition show, "The Traitors," into a civilian version. Alan Cumming will return as host. Production begins in 2026. The original Peacock series features a mix of celebrity and civilian contestants, while the British BBC version exclusively features civilians. The show, based on a Dutch format, sees contestants divided into "Faithful" and "Traitors," with the Traitors secretly eliminating the Faithful. The winning group splits the prize money. The show's success led to Emmy wins and multiple season renewals on Peacock.
