Over 30 shipwrecks, including a WWII-era steamer, have been discovered in Germany's Lake Constance. A 2022 project, "Wrecks and Deep Sea," utilized divers and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to uncover these vessels, ranging from paddle steamers to a remarkably preserved cargo sailing ship. Researchers believe the discovery offers invaluable insights into shipbuilding and sailing technology. While the wrecks are considered culturally significant, there are no plans for salvage, with the focus remaining on their documentary value.
