The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a devastating 7-6 loss to the Angels, blowing a late lead and extending their losing streak to five games against their rivals. Shohei Ohtani hit a go-ahead home run in the ninth, but the Dodgers bullpen faltered, culminating in a walk-off single in the tenth. This defeat further complicates their playoff hopes, as they've fallen into a tie for first place in the NL West after a significant drop in performance since early July, going 12-20 since holding a commanding lead.
