Christian Nationalist Views Gaining Traction in GOP | JQJO

Pastor Doug Wilson, a prominent Christian nationalist, advocates for household voting and restricting women's suffrage, aligning with views shared by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Wilson's ideology, emphasizing biblical patriarchy and traditional gender roles, is gaining traction within the Republican Party, though it remains a minority view. Experts link this rise to a conservative backlash against recent progressive movements and the amplification of such views through online platforms. Concerns are raised about the influence of Wilson's beliefs on high-ranking officials like Hegseth, who publicly supports Wilson and his church.
