McDonald's Cancels Pokemon Happy Meal Due to Waste | JQJO

McDonald's Japan canceled a Pokemon card Happy Meal promotion after resellers bought numerous meals and discarded the food, creating mountains of waste near stores. The company apologized for inadequate preparations, stating this contradicted their philosophy of providing a fun family dining experience. To prevent future issues, McDonald's plans to limit purchases per person, end online orders, and potentially refuse service to rule-breakers. The promotion, featuring toys and sought-after Pokemon cards, sold out rapidly, highlighting the cards' high resale value.
