Texas Longhorns Ranked No. 1 in Preseason Poll | JQJO

Texas Longhorns claim the No. 1 spot in the AP preseason college football poll for the first time in school history, edging out Penn State. Arch Manning's debut as starting quarterback fuels high expectations for the Longhorns, who face a challenging opening game against No. 3 Ohio State. The preseason poll features several top-10 matchups and significant rankings shifts for teams like Alabama and Texas A&M. This is the 24th time a school has earned the top preseason ranking. Despite historical data showing preseason No. 1s rarely win the national title, Texas aims for a championship run.
