Shrek 5 Release Date Delayed Again to Summer 2027 | JQJO

Universal and DreamWorks have pushed back the release of "Shrek 5" from December 23, 2026, to June 30, 2027. This is the second delay for the film, which will now open less than a week after Sony's "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse". The studio cited no reason for the postponement but has seen success with summer animated releases. Original cast members Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz return, joined by Zendaya. The film marks a 25-year anniversary since the original "Shrek", a global phenomenon.
