Rumble Bids $1.2B for German AI Firm

Rumble (RUM), a video-sharing platform, is pursuing a $1.2 billion acquisition of Germany's Northern Data AG (NDTAF), a high-performance computing firm. This move positions Rumble in the growing AI infrastructure market, potentially gaining access to Northern Data's substantial GPU holdings, including thousands of Nvidia H100 and H200 chips. RUM stock rose following the announcement, while NDTAF shares fell. Rumble's Q2 revenue increased 12% to $25.1 million, although monthly active users declined slightly. The deal, valuing Northern Data at approximately $18.3 per share, is subject to board approval and isn't guaranteed.
