Cowboys snag Milton: Backup QB steal? | JQJO

The Dallas Cowboys acquired quarterback Joe Milton III from the New England Patriots for a fifth-round draft pick, a year after a failed attempt to draft a backup quarterback. Owner Jerry Jones expressed excitement over the acquisition, believing they secured a steal. Milton's performance in the preseason opener against the Rams was mixed (17/29 for 143 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT), but his potential as a backup to Dak Prescott is seen as high. He sustained an elbow injury in the game, though the Cowboys consider it minor.
