Global Order Fractures Amid US Influence Decline | JQJO

A new NPR series, "The World, Reordering," examines the shifting global order. The post-WWII liberal international order, characterized by globalization and US leadership, is fracturing. Authoritarian powers' rise and shifting alliances, coupled with US policy changes under Trump, are causing uncertainty. Many nations, once reliant on the US, are forging new partnerships to address the power vacuum, particularly in defense and security. The series explores this transition and its potential consequences for global progress and prosperity.
