Acclaimed Korean director Park Chan-wook and co-creator Don McKellar have been expelled from the Writers Guild of America (WGA) for working on HBO Max's "The Sympathizer" during the recent writers' strike. This makes Park the highest-profile expulsion so far. The WGA also announced other disciplinary actions against members, including a lifetime ban on holding office for one writer.
