Android 17's Secret Codename Revealed: Cinnamon Bun | JQJO

Google has secretly chosen "Cinnamon Bun" as the internal codename for Android 17, breaking from its alphabetical dessert tradition. This follows the adoption of a "Trunk Stable" development model, resulting in a new naming convention starting with the letter 'C' for 2026's release. The change reflects a shift to a single, stable code branch for Android development, improving efficiency. While the codename won't be publicly used, it's a fun detail for Android enthusiasts. Android 17 is expected around June 2026.
