McCarthy's Preseason Debut Offers Limited Insights | JQJO

J.J. McCarthy, the Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback, had a limited showing in his preseason debut against the Houston Texans. In one series, he completed 4 of 7 passes for 30 yards, showcasing both accuracy issues and scrambling ability. While his performance was unremarkable, it provided little insight into his readiness for the regular season. Coach Kevin O'Connell hinted McCarthy may not play in subsequent preseason games, leaving his performance against the Texans as his sole preseason showing.
