Du Plessis Eyes UFC Africa After Chimaev Fight | JQJO

UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis will face Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319 on August 16th in Chicago. A win would solidify Du Plessis's undefeated UFC record and further his campaign to bring a UFC event to Africa. He aims to resume discussions with UFC executives after the fight, hoping to follow in the footsteps of other champions who have successfully hosted events in their home countries. While a 2025 date for a UFC Africa event is suggested, Du Plessis is actively working to expedite the process.
