Wednesday Season 2 ditches romance, focuses on mystery | JQJO

Netflix's "Wednesday" season 2, part 1, premiered this week, notably omitting a romantic plotline. The absence of a love interest stems from controversies surrounding actor Percy Hynes White, leading to his character's departure. This change subverts teen drama tropes, allowing for deeper exploration of Wednesday's relationships with her mother and her own powers. The season focuses on a new mystery involving Enid's life, and Wednesday's growing celebrity status. Despite behind-the-scenes challenges, "Wednesday" has been renewed for a third season, showcasing its continued success.
