WNBA Trade: Sun Acquires Edwards, Mystics Get Sheldon | JQJO

The Connecticut Sun and Washington Mystics completed a trade ahead of the WNBA deadline. The Sun acquired forward Aaliyah Edwards for guard Jacy Sheldon and draft pick swap rights. Edwards, a former top draft pick, saw limited playing time in Washington. The Mystics hope Sheldon's shooting will improve their three-point struggles. The trade involves minimal salary cap impact and negligible effects on draft pick value; both teams primarily gained a player to fill a roster need.
