Sex Toys Thrown at WNBA Games: Misogyny in Sports? | JQJO

Sex toys have been thrown onto WNBA courts during three separate games, prompting outrage from players and fans. While initially dismissed as pranks, the incidents are viewed as disrespectful and potentially dangerous. The repeated nature of the events, occurring solely at WNBA games amidst the league's growing popularity, suggests a deliberate attempt to undermine the athletes and their achievements. This is seen as a continuation of historical misogyny in sports, targeting women athletes with lewd and humiliating acts to diminish their presence and success.
