Apple's macOS Tahoe 26 developer beta introduces a new SSD-styled icon for Macintosh HD, replacing the older hard drive icon. The update features a sleeker aluminum design with a prominent Apple logo. This appears to be the most significant visual change in the beta release, though a new AirDrop icon was also spotted on a separate iOS beta. Reactions to the updated icon are mixed, with users expressing varied preferences.
