Alabama football's preseason ranking is No. 8 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, its lowest since 2008. This is a significant drop from their No. 5 ranking at the start of last season, when they ultimately finished at No. 17. The ranking comes ahead of their season opener against Florida State on August 30th. The Associated Press preseason poll will be released next week.
