Apple Is Reportedly Exploring Bringing Tandem OLED Technology To iPhones, The Same Displays Currently Used On The M4 iPad Pro Lineup; Implementation Might Not Happen Before 2028

Apple is considering using tandem OLED displays in future iPhones, offering improved brightness, efficiency, and lifespan. However, a new report from The Elec suggests development hasn't begun, meaning mass production is at least two years away, even if Samsung and LG, Apple's primary display suppliers, agree to develop the technology. The scale of iPhone production makes the investment more appealing than the smaller iPad Pro market, where Samsung previously hesitated due to profitability concerns.
