Cambodia nominated former President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in de-escalating a border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand. At least 43 people died in the five-day conflict, displacing over 300,000. Trump's intervention, involving a phone call to the Thai acting prime minister, led to a ceasefire. This nomination follows similar recommendations from Israel and Pakistan, citing Trump's contributions to regional peace efforts. Cambodia's nomination comes after the US reduced tariffs on Cambodian goods.
