OpenAI scraps ChatGPT search feature over privacy concerns

OpenAI swiftly removed a recently introduced ChatGPT feature allowing users to make their conversations searchable on engines like Google. The decision followed concerns about accidental sharing of private information. Chief Information Security Officer Dane Stuckey cited security and privacy as the primary reasons for the rollback, noting the feature presented too many risks for unintentional disclosure of sensitive data. The company is working to remove already indexed content from search results.
