Samsung's rapid release of its Android 16-based One UI 8 update is attributed to adopting Google's new "Trunk Stable" development model. This single-branch approach, unlike the older, slower branch-based system, eliminates merge conflicts and speeds up development. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices launched with One UI 8 just a month after Android 16's public release, showcasing the efficiency of the new method. The company collaborated with Google on this model, aiming for faster future updates.
