Iran executes 2 opposition members over alleged attacks on civilian sites

Iran executed two members of the exiled opposition group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq, Behrouz Ehsani Eslamlou and Mehdi Hasani, for allegedly attacking civilian infrastructure. The judiciary cited use of improvised mortar launchers targeting residential areas and government buildings. Amnesty International had previously raised concerns about torture and unfair trial procedures. The Mojahedin Organization of Iran condemned the executions and reported 14 more members face imminent execution. The group, once involved in deadly attacks, now operates primarily from Albania but maintains a claimed presence within Iran.
