An Argentine man was awarded $12,500 in compensation from Google after a Street View car captured him naked in his backyard in 2017. The court ruled that Google's invasion of his privacy, despite a relatively high wall, violated his dignity. Google's blurring technology, used for faces and license plates, was deemed insufficient in this case, although other parties involved in disseminating the image were absolved of liability. This judgment follows previous legal actions against Google concerning Street View privacy issues.
