Schumer seeks to avoid repeat of Democratic funding fight | JQJO

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is strategizing to avoid a repeat of the March government funding fight that caused intra-party divisions. While some Democrats want a firm commitment from Republicans against rescinding funds, others prioritize bipartisan cooperation. Republicans argue the onus is on Democrats to determine the upcoming funding process's contentiousness, with potential for a shutdown or continued resolution.
