Paramount Global has secured the future of South Park for the next five years in a $1.5 billion deal with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The agreement covers 50 new episodes across five seasons, plus streaming rights for all 26 previous seasons on Paramount+. The deal ends a period of tense negotiations, including threats of legal action by Parker and Stone, and sees South Park return to Paramount+ globally after being removed due to previous contractual disputes. The show's library, previously exclusive to HBO Max, will also move to Paramount+. This deal replaces a previous $900 million agreement signed in 2021.
