A 61-year-old man, Keith McAllister, died after being pulled into an MRI machine in New York. He was wearing a heavy weight-training chain, which the machine's powerful magnet drew him towards. His wife, Adrienne Jones-McAllister, witnessed the incident, stating he waved goodbye before becoming limp. He suffered heart attacks after being freed. This is not the first MRI-related death in New York; a similar incident involving an oxygen tank occurred in 2001.
