Statue of Liberty Mural Sparks Republican Outrage | JQJO

A massive mural in Roubaix, France, depicting the Statue of Liberty covering her eyes, has sparked outrage among Republicans. Created by Amsterdam-based artist Judith de Leeuw, the artwork criticizes Donald Trump's immigration policies, highlighting the feeling that freedom is inaccessible for migrants. The artist stated the piece was intentionally displayed in a city with a large migrant population and stands by her work despite criticism from Republican lawmaker Tim Burchett, who expressed disgust and linked it to his uncle's death in France.
