Felix Baumgartner, renowned for his record-breaking stratosphere jump, died Thursday in a paragliding accident in Italy. The 56-year-old Austrian lost control of his paraglider and crashed near a hotel pool in Porto Sant’Elpidio. A hotel employee suffered minor injuries. Baumgartner's death was confirmed by Red Bull, his longtime sponsor. He had posted about 'too much wind' shortly before the accident.
