Golfer Banned From Oakmont After Locker Damage

Golfer Wyndham Clark has been banned from Oakmont Country Club following damage to his locker after missing the cut at the U.S. Open. Oakmont's president, John Lynch, stated in a letter to members that the ban, following discussions with the USGA and the club's board, could be lifted if Clark pays for damages, contributes to charity, and undergoes counseling. Clark, who won the 2023 U.S. Open, apologized for his actions, which included previous incidents of equipment damage. The ban comes ahead of Oakmont's next scheduled U.S. Open hosting in 2033.
