The Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain (ADEE) filed a complaint, arguing the event perpetuated harmful stereotypes and violated disability rights laws. While one entertainer defended Yamal, claiming no disrespect occurred, the Ministry is pursuing an investigation to determine if any laws were broken.
