President Trump hinted at issuing an executive order to rename soccer "football" in the US. He made the comment during an interview with DAZN, while attending the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey. This event marked the first time the US hosted the tournament, a year before co-hosting the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and Canada. Trump's seriousness about the name change remains unclear, but his interest in the sport is evident.
