Buhari's Body Returned Home for Simple Burial | JQJO

Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, 82, died in a London clinic on Sunday and will be flown home for a simple burial in his hometown, Daura, on Monday. Vice President Shettima accompanied the body back to Nigeria. A simple burial, in accordance with Islamic traditions, will take place. Despite his significant role in Nigerian history, there will be no state funeral. Tributes poured in from across the political spectrum, including from those who opposed him.
